Aubree’s Approach
Aubree is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both Michigan and California who is passionate about helping adults navigate grief and loss, anxiety, including Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), perfectionism, and major life transitions. Her approach is warm, genuine, collaborative, and grounded in the practice of making therapy a space where clients can be honest and authentic, leading to the best outcomes.
Aubree believes that meaningful therapy begins with a strong therapeutic relationship. She takes a flexible approach based on the goals and desired outcomes of the client, allowing the individual to lead the way. She balances compassion and acceptance with gentle challenge, helping clients build greater self-awareness while developing the flexibility and tolerance to respond differently when patterns or behaviors are no longer serving them.
What to Expect
Clients can expect therapy with Aubree to be conversational, collaborative, and tailored to their individual needs and goals. Sessions may include exploring emotions and relationships, identifying patterns, building emotional awareness, developing coping and regulation skills, challenging obsessive thinking or compulsions, or working through difficult experiences at a pace that feels manageable.
Aubree believes that clients are the experts on their own lives. Her role is to bring clinical knowledge, curiosity, and perspective to the process while creating space for clients to determine what they want their lives to look and feel like. She also recognizes that insight alone is not always enough; therapy can be an opportunity to practice new ways of relating to yourself and others and to translate insight and understanding into meaningful change.
