Doing What Matters: A Group for Young Adults Who Feel a Little Lost

September 8 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

If you’re a young adult navigating the weird in-between space of “figuring it out,” you’re not alone. Maybe you’re finishing school or starting your career. Maybe you’re navigating another life transition that has left you feeling pressure to be fulfilled and independent regardless of your life circumstances. Going through these phases of life will often leave you feeling stuck, anxious, and/or unsure of who you want to be.

We created “Doing What Matters” for people exactly like you.

This 4-week group is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). This approach helps people make peace with their thoughts, connect to what truly matters to them, and take committed action (even when things feel messy or uncertain).

What Happens in the Group?

Each week, we’ll gather for 90 minutes in a small, supportive circle of other young adults who also feel like they’re carrying a lot internally. Together, we’ll explore things like:

  • Who am I, really? And what do I value?
  • What keeps me stuck or self-sabotaging?
  • How can I get distance from unhelpful thoughts that seem to run the show?
  • What would it look like to take a small step toward the life I want and the person I want to be?

Each session includes:

  • Check-ins & grounding practices
  • Hands-on activities
  • Real conversations—no pressure to perform, just space to show up
  • Reflections and takeaways you can carry into your week

You don’t need to “have it all figured out” to join. You just need to be willing to show up and get curious about yourself.

This Group Might Be for You

If you…

  • Feel overwhelmed by your own thoughts or expectations
  • Struggle with indecision and emotional avoidance
  • Want to feel more grounded and less lost
  • Crave a space where you can be honest, seen, and supported

What You’ll Walk Away With

By the end of 4 weeks, you’ll have:

  • Greater awareness of what actually matters to you (not just what’s expected of you)
  • Tools to pause, reflect, and choose more aligned actions
  • Practice separating yourself from inner criticism or anxious spirals
  • A group of peers who get it

You won’t leave with a “fix”—because you’re not broken. But you will leave with clarity, connection, and some next steps that feel true to you.
