At Kalamazoo Therapy Group, we have been offering telehealth sessions since 2019 and understand that for many clients, the convenience of a video session allows them to seek counseling without additional barriers. Our therapists continue to offer online counseling and in-person counseling as well. We are here to support you!

What is a Telehealth Session?

Telehealth counseling is also known as teletherapy, online therapy, and online counseling. Sessions are the same as normal face-to-face therapy but conducted over video. Our therapists are experienced in video therapy (with some of us having experience with online therapy long before COVID started).

To protect your privacy, KTG uses a secure and confidential HIPAA compliant platform specifically designed for therapy. In the event that this platform is lagging and interrupting the quality of the session, your therapist will direct you to another secure platform. If all else fails, we can conduct sessions over the phone. Because body language is so important to our work, phone sessions are not preferred and will only be used when the other video platforms are unavailable or insufficient.

How to Access My Telehealth Session

When you schedule your first intake appointment, you will receive an email asking you to create a secure client portal account through TherapyNotes. You will use this client portal to complete and upload intake documents as well as access each online counseling session.

Current clients can access their client portal here: https://www.therapyportal.com/p/kzootherapy/

Please note, if you forget your password, you’ll need to contact your therapist or contact@kazootherapy.com to have it reset.
