Event Details
We spend so much time, energy, and money investing in the WEDDING, but the real value is in the MARRIAGE.
This intimate virtual workshop is designed for almost-married and newly-married couples (18 and older) who want to intentionally invest in the foundation of their relationship, not just the celebration of it.
Registration for this event closes on March 15th.
What can we gain from this premarital education event?
During 18 hours of guided education, you and your partner will engage in meaningful relationship skill-building, reflective exercises, group discussions, and supportive dialogue. This experience goes beyond theory. It’s about learning how to live your values together, especially when things get hard.
Because this virtual workshop is limited to just 5 couples, the experience is deeply personal. The small-group setting allows space for thoughtful processing, real questions, honest conversations, and individualized support.
Together, you will:
- Deepen your relationship intelligence and communication skills so you’re better equipped to navigate conflict, change, and stress in the years ahead
- Learn how to show up as your best, most grounded self within your marriage
- Practice engaging with integrity, accountability, and emotional wholeness
- Shatter harmful myths about marriage and replace them with realistic, supportive expectations that can sustain you for decades
- Build meaningful community and long-term connections with other couples who share similar values, intentions, and insight
- Celebrate your growth and new perspective through a virtual vow celebration, surrounded by your new community of marriage supporters
This education event is a conscious pause before (or just after) marriage to ask: How do we want to build a life together, and who do we need to become to do that?
If you’re ready to invest in the relationship that comes after the wedding day, this virtual workshop is for you.
What is the Vow Ceremony?
As this virtual workshop wraps up, you and your partner will share a deeper understanding of each other, as well as your future together. This connection deserves to be celebrated! A vow ceremony, held with sacredness and reverence in this virtual space amongst your peers, will be an opportunity to bear witness to the other participants of what you have developed with your partner over the previous hours of learning and discovery.
The vows you make on your wedding day will be a treasure you and your partner will cherish forever. The vow ceremony in this virtual workshop will take on a particularly deep meaning when shared amongst the other participants, who have taken the steps to learn and grow together with their partners alongside you and yours. This ceremony is one chance (of many to come) to demonstrate a unity with your partner that will stand the test of time. And you may even be surprised to discover a desire to use these uniquely authentic and intimate vows at your actual wedding – for your community to witness as well!
The vow ceremony will be held between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM on the final day of the virtual workshop (Saturday, April 25).
What is the cost, and why?
- Early bird enrollment (now through March 1st) is $795 per couple
- Enrollment between March 2nd and March 8th will be $895 per couple
Private couples therapy with Kelsey costs $250 per 75 minute session, and many couples wait months for availability. This 18 hour virtual workshop provides the equivalent of multiple months of high-quality therapeutic education and guided support in a structured and accessible format.
More importantly, the cost reflects the belief that preparing for marriage is one of the most impactful investments a couple can make. The skills you build here support communication, emotional safety, intimacy, and resilience through future transitions, challenges, and seasons of change.
Understandably, $795-$895 may seem like a grand investment, and it is. To shift the perspective, the average cost of a wedding in the U.S. is around $30,000. This number reflects just the event itself: ceremony, reception, food, venue, photography, etc. and doesn’t account for the many years ahead when a couple will be navigating life’s stresses, transitions, and growth together.
While you may choose to add the cost of this virtual workshop to your wedding budget, this is not an expense for your wedding day.
It is an investment in the life you are building together.
About the facilitator
Kelsey Nimmo is a Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified Sex Therapist, and Relationship Coach. She has spent over ten years supporting couples in fostering more emotional and physical intimacy in their relationships through a unique approach in prioritizing the wholeness of each individual within the partnership.
Kelsey believes that to create and maintain the depth of connection and fulfillment we each desire with another human we care deeply for, we must find a way to learn and integrate our own personal development. Through individual growth, health, and wholeness, we can only then show up in our fullness with compassion, love, generosity, and acceptance.
While we often think of relationships as having the goal of “connection,” Kelsey supports couples in learning to navigate and find resilience for the naturally occurring coming together and falling apart that every relationship will endure throughout its lifetime. Guiding couples to learn to hold and honor these times of transition (and times of disconnect) while not losing sight of individual needs and well-being (and not holding onto them too rigidly), she seeks to help couples step into a new sense of love and depth in their relationships that they may have never experienced before.
Kelsey offers individual counseling as well as relationship coaching, and facilitates groups and events related to grief, meditation, and relationship intelligence.
