she/her

Emily (she/her) is a Limited Licensed Counselor (LLC). She earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Michigan State University and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health in Counseling from Northwestern University.

Emily recognizes the multitude of life challenges and how they can impact our overall wellbeing. Systems of oppression and trauma can inhibit our ability to overcome obstacles, make meaningful connections with others, and live authentically. In a world that may feel unsafe, Emily strives to cultivate a safe, accepting, empathetic, and healing environment for her clients.

As a holistic-minded therapist, Emily believes the mind-body-soul connection is vital in achieving mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness. She views therapy as a process to explore your values, thoughts, emotions, and physiological responses to work towards personal growth, empowerment, and healing. During sessions, Emily uses a collaborative and compassionate approach that is customized to fit the needs of each individual client.

She believes that the ability to live authentically and overcome challenging obstacles already exists within us. Therapy provides a space to better understand how various systems, relationships, and experiences have impacted your journey and to uncover your strengths and resiliency to live a more fulfilled and authentic life.

Emily has clinical experience working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, life transitions, stress management, and self-esteem.

She is passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and other sexual/relationship identities, and supporting young adults struggling with relationship conflicts, sexual trauma, self-esteem, and intimacy.
