SUMMARY:After the Fire: Rupture and Repair - a Virtual Group
DESCRIPTION:After the Fire is a virtual group offered by Curando with the support of Kalamazoo Therapy Group. \nRegister Now \nBetrayal\, whether through infidelity\, secrecy\, or broken trust\, can feel like a wildfire in our closest relationships. What once felt safe no longer does. Familiar landmarks disappear. In the aftermath\, many people feel quietly pressured to fix it fast\, forgive prematurely\, or decide the future before their nervous system has stabilized and a truthful path forward can even be made. \nAfter the Fire is a virtual group for people navigating the aftermath of a break of trust. Drawing on ecological succession – the process by which ecosystems recover after wildfires- this group offers a compassionate framework for healing. Participants are invited to slow down and examine what truly changed after the rupture\, in order to craft a loving path for the future. Through guided reflection & gentle dialogue\, participants learn to distinguish early stabilization from deeper intimacy\, and to release unrealistic expectations about “going back to how things were.” \nThis offering is ideal for: \n\nPeople navigating infidelity\, secrecy\, emotional betrayal\, or trust rupture.\nIt is for those seeking a non-pathologizing\, ecological lens for understanding rupture.\nIt supports partners learning to distinguish stabilization from intimacy.\nPeople wanting to normalize slow and nonlinear healing.\nThose exploring the conditions necessary for relational regeneration.\nPartners who want to make informed\, consent-based decisions about repair or separation.\n\nThis is not a forgiveness workshop. There is no pressure to reconcile\, no moral hierarchy between staying and leaving\, and no expectation to return to closeness before safety exists. Instead\, this work centers expansiveness and truth. \nIf this resonates\, or if you have been searching for a way to understand relational devastation without rushing through the process\, I would be honored to work with you. \nDetails & registration: \n\n\n\nFacilitated by Alessandra Santos-Pye\nTuesdays & Thursdays in April via ZOOM\n6-8 PM\, EST\n8 gatherings total\n$350 per participant\nRegistration deadline: February 26th\nWorkbook included\n\n\n\nRegister Now \nAbout the Facilitator\nAlessandra Santos Pye\, or Ally Pye (she/her/hers) is a psychotherapist\, psychedelic assisted therapist\, ceremonialist\, educator\, facilitator\, consultant\, artist\, reiki practitioner\, and budding herbalist. Her clinical approach and facilitation offerings center relational dynamics rooted in liberatory\, restorative\, and revolutionary processes. Born in São Paulo\, Brazil\, original territory of the Tupi Guarani\, her identity is multifaceted by Indigenous\, West African\, and European culture and ancestry. The interlacing of spiritual syncretism\, art\, and animism continue to shape Alessandra’s trajectory on personal and professional levels. \n*Curando* is the current iteration of Alessandra’s therapeutic work\, offering full spectrum Psychedelic Assisted Therapy designed to support and inspire the unfolding of both personal and collective narratives\, in pursuit of a just and sustainable future. SUMMARY:April Grief Group Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Grief has a powerful way of unsettling us—shaking emotions to the surface\, shaping how we experience our world. We invite you to join us each month for a supportive space to gather in community. Together\, we will honor the many forms of loss that may arise\, whether that is: \n\nThe death of a loved one\nDivorce or end of a significant relationship\nLiving with a chronic illness\nLoss of a job\, role\, or meaningful activity that shaped your identity\nReleasing a vision or dream you’ve held\nSorry for suffering in the wider world\nSomething else entirely\n\nThis gathering offers space to witness\, share\, and gently tend to grief in all its forms. \nRegister Now \nDetails\n\nWho: Adults ages 18 and up of all identities and backgrounds\nWhen: Tuesday\, April 28th from 6-7:30pm\nWhere: Kalamazoo Therapy Group\, 1901 Parkview Avenue\nCost: Pay what you can from $20-60\nFacilitated by: Kelsey Nimmo\, LMFT\, LPC\nSeats available: 8 (therefore registration is required for this event)\n\n\nEach month\, we will gather for 90 minutes in a small\, supportive circle of people who know the raw\, tender\, and oftentimes illuminating experience of grief. Together\, we will create a sacred and confidential container where grief can be expressed\, and safely held. \nWhatever you are grieving—whether a person\, event\, identity\, or experience—this gathering offers uninterrupted room to honor your loss and gently tend to the changes unfolding within you. \nIn each gathering\, we will…\n\nEnter a quiet\, still space for contemplation and breathwork.\nBegin with a reading related to grief\, which may include psychoeducation\, poetry\, creative narrative\, or something else.\nHold a container for open sharing\, without response\, from those who wish to speak. Sometimes bearing witness to grief can be healing in itself-there is never pressure to share aloud.\nAt times engage in a narrative or art therapy activity to support grief processing and healing.\nIf time allows\, open to a group discussion on themes that arise\, with the intention of connecting in the raw experience of grief\, rather than dissecting the content of the grief.\nClose with an optional water-and-fire ceremony for releasing. Ritual can be a powerful way of tending grief\, but participation is always optional\, and may also be done privately\, in your own way.\n\nThis gathering might be for you if…\n\nYou are living with a significant loss—whether the death of a loved one\, the end of a relationship\, a chronic illness\, the loss of a job or role that shaped your identity\, releasing a dream you’ve held\, sorrow for suffering in the wider world\, or something else deeply personal.\nYou feel overwhelmed\, with emotions just beneath the surface\, and long for space to let them arise.\nYou have been grieving on your own and seek the support of community. Grief can feel profoundly lonely—even though it is part of our shared human experience.\n\nWhat you’ll walk away with…\n\nA clearer understanding and appreciation of grief’s tender yet powerful transformative nature.\nA sense of community and connection through shared human experience.\nInsight into the many faces and phases of grief: as deep sorrow\, overwhelming anger\, raw expansion and openness\, flat listlessness\, beautiful awe\, or something uniquely your own.\n\nTo register\nPlease complete the form below. We’ll set up a secure client portal for you using your date of birth where you can complete registration. Please note that your seat is not reserved for this event until you have completed the documents in your client portal and paid the cost of this event. \n\n← Back Thank you for your response. ✨\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\nName(required)\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n\n\nEmail(required)\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n\n\nBirthdate (required for portal registration) (YYYY-MM-DD)(required)\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n	\n\n\nWhat are you able to pay for this event? She has spent years experiencing\, studying\, and learning how to hold and honor the deeply transformative power of grief within herself and her clients. \nKelsey believes that to create and hold space for grief (big and small) is one of the most important things we can do in seeking wholeness and healing within ourselves. She wishes that we\, as many other cultures\, prioritized a ritual to honor the transitions we are experiencing—each of which bring forward a face of grief if we allow it. \nWhile we often think of grief as a narrow list of life events\, Kelsey believes that grief arises in us on a daily basis\, is cumulative\, and if untended\, eats away at our soul. She has a deep respect and reverence for the many expressions of grief and is looking forward to holding space with other humans who are on their journeys to finding more healing and wholeness.
